gotalk uses Vodafone's mobile network for its mobile coverage.

In addition to making voice calls and sending text messages, the Vodafone 3G Network allows users to do things such as make video calls, use the internet, send picture messages and video stream. To access this 3G network you will need a compatible 3G capable handset.

The Vodafone 3G network covers 94% of the Australian population. When outside the 3G coverage areas, users can still access the Vodafone 2G Network to make and receive voice calls and send and receive SMS messages. Vodafone's 2G mobile network currently covers 94.52% of Australia's population.
